Reintegration is a collective effort. Whether you volunteer, partner with us, or offer financial support, your involvement helps create the conditions where people can return to the community with dignity, accountability, and hope.

A Collective Effort

Every contribution strengthens the whole

Reintegration is a collective effort. Whether you volunteer, partner with us, or offer financial support, your involvement helps create the conditions where people can return to the community with dignity, accountability, and hope.

Bond Trust is a registered charitable organisation, and every contribution, relational, collaborative, or financial, strengthens safer, more connected communities across Aotearoa.

Volunteer

Walk alongside someone rebuilding their life

Volunteers play a vital role in reintegration. They offer something no professional can: steady, non-transactional human connection.

Volunteers:

  • meet with people preparing for release
  • offer relational support during the early days of freedom
  • help strengthen protective factors like routine, belonging, and identity
  • listen without judgement
  • model calm, pro-social behaviour
  • support people to navigate challenges without rescuing or over-involvement

All volunteers receive comprehensive training grounded in

  • restorative practice
  • trauma-informed, dignity-forward engagement
  • ethical boundaries
  • cultural safety
  • reflective practice

If you can show up consistently, listen well, and hold steady boundaries, we’d love to hear from you.
